Usage pools
A company can buy a pool of hours instead of named seats. Here's how time is counted.
A usage pool is a block of Sarastar hours that a company's people share, instead of each having their own seat. There's no limit on how many people use it at once. To set one up, contact us.
How time is counted
- Time is counted in 15-minute blocks, only while you're working: you've used the mouse or keyboard in the last 10 minutes, or a calculation you started is running.
- Time in view-only mode is never counted.
- Each person's use is capped at 12 hours in any 24 hours and 60 hours in a calendar month. Time past a cap is free.
- Hours last 24 months from purchase.
When a pool runs out
The pool's seats pause until it's topped up. Contact us to add hours.

Everyone sees Your use on the portal's Overview, and how many hours are left in the pool.
